The Seles Boutique Hotel - Policy

• Check-In / Check Out

Guest check-in is at 1:00 pm and check-out is at 10:00 am. The property includes a bar and restaurant, serving delicious cocktails and food. We also have a shared space above the restaurant with a view of the pool and ocean where guests can spend time before check-in or after check-out.

• Choice of Rooms

Please be aware of the choice of the rooms. Some rooms we have in the bungalows (codes S1-S7), which are in the main place next to the restaurant, bar, small swimming pool, and terrace on the beach, and some rooms (codes T1 - T11) we have in the Villa with a bigger swimming pool 1-minute walk distance in the second coastline from the ocean, where is much quieter. We also accept children 10+ in the Villa.

• Guests' payments at the hotel

        CASH

We do not accept USD bills of 2006 series or older. Also, be advised that ATM fees can be high, so it's always advisable to carry cash. The closest ATM to the hotel is 15 km away. Also, we accept Euro and TSH. 

        PAYMENT TERMINAL

We use a payment terminal in our hotel and please be informed that it is our policy to charge *5% surcharge for credit card payments which is NOT included in your accommodation fee. *The surcharge is collected by the payment agent, not by The Seles. This fee is non-refundable. Also, you can pay in cash without any additional fees. 

        PREPAYMENT

Depending on the season, days of stay, and days before arrival guest will be asked for payment of 30% of the amount of accommodation (no more than $150) after the agreement between the hotel and the guest. Also, the guest can fully pay before arrival. 

To make a prepayment, please contact Customer Service via WhatsApp (+255779514945) or send an email message (seleszanzibar@gmail.com) to choose a payment method (bank account / Revolut / PayPal) and receive the necessary details.

        CREDIT/DEBIT CARDS ACCEPT

We accept Visa and Mastercard.

• City tax

City tax - $2/person/night is additionally paid at the property.

• Tourists excursions

We can arrange tours and excursions for you on the Island. Just speak with any of our staff and they will be happy to assist you. Also, we highly suggest you bring reef-safe sunscreen.

• Airport transfer

The Seles is approximately 60 minute's drive from the airport and we can arrange airport pick-up for $45. Should you like us to make this arrangement, then simply send us your flight details and confirm the price. Also, please let us know at least 24 hours ahead of your pick-up time.

• Other

At The Seles, we embrace people and music and therefore like to create an atmosphere that is fun and laid-back. This is an "adults-only, 16+" hotel (apart from our Villa, where we accept children 10+), and for some, the experience may not be consistent with their lifestyle. Also, it may not be an ideal spot for those who cannot tolerate noise in the main place, so our rooms in the villa are much quieter, so please be aware of your room choice. We want our guests to feel comfortable and as such must be transparent. If you choose a bungalow/room in the main place we can move you to a more quiet place - our Villa (1-minute walk distance) depending on availability.

We also accept children 10+ years old in the Villa.

Please be aware that we are quite flexible and always you can ask about acceptance of the age of children.
